Home Birth
Yes, that’s right! If you prefer your own home, you also have the option of home birth with the midwives of the Corpus Christi Birth Center. So we hope that you will consider us if you prefer to give birth in your own home.
Beth Overton has over 20 years of experience.. Prior to opening the birth center in 2012, she did all care in her client’s homes. With the birth center now, Beth and her staff still offer home birth as an option but is happy to offer even more options to her clients with the addition of the birth center. This is a huge benefit for many reasons because clients have different needs and desires.
We would be happy to discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of home or center as a location. Most of the time, it’s more a matter of personal preference than it is advantage or disadvantage but there are some things to consider when making the choice.
Statistics show that out-of-hospital birth with low risk women when done with a Certified Professional Midwife in attendance is a safe alternative in either settings. So whichever birth location you prefer, please don’t hesitate to contact us! We would love to discuss all of your birth options with us, including home birth if that is your preference.
