For a woman, giving birth to a child is one of the most significant and life changing events she will have in her entire lifetime. The birth of a child can be a beautiful experience for the whole family.
Childbirth classes are a great way to prepare mothers and family members for both labor and birth.
At the Corpus Christi Birth Center it is our desire to provide you as much information as possible to minimize your fears and help you make informed decisions about your birth.
One of the ways we provide such education is through our FREE Childbirth Classes. We offer natural childbirth classes specifically designed to meet the informational needs of families giving birth at home.
Birth is a natural, normal process and we teach all of our classes based on the midwifery model of care. It is our goal is to provide you with the information you need to build confidence in your own God-given ability to give birth naturally. We also want to equip your husband or your birth partner with the tools necessary to support you during labor and birth.
Our group claases are offered twice a month on the first and thrid Friday of each month at 7pm. Please call ahead if you would like to attend. Space is limited and on occasion we have to reschedule due to births. Private classes are also available upon request.
OUR CLASSES COVER:
The group setting allows parents the added benefit of meeting others who share their common goals and interests. As the group discusses their ideas and feelings about birth and parenting it gives an opportunity for everyone to learn from one another.
Private classes are still a good option for a woman or a couple who can’t make the scheduled group classes.
Either way, every client will have the opportunity to ask direct questions concerning their childbirth preparation needs.
Please contact us with any questions about our Childbirth Classes. We would love to hear from you!
